Installation position, height, inlet and outlet direction must meet the design requirements, and the connection should be firm and tight. All types of manual valves installed on insulated pipelines must not have the handle facing downwards. Before installation, the appearance of the valve must be inspected, and the nameplate of the valve should comply with the current national standard "General Valve Marking" GB 12220. For valves with a working pressure greater than 1.0 MPa and serving as shut-off valves on main pipelines, strength and tightness performance tests should be conducted before installation, and they can only be used after passing the test. During the strength test, the test pressure is 1.5 times the nominal pressure, with a duration of not less than 5 minutes, and the valve body and packing should have no leakage to be considered qualified. During the tightness test, the test pressure is 1.1 times the nominal pressure; the test pressure and duration should meet the requirements of GB 50243 standard, with no leakage on the valve disc sealing surface considered qualified. Sealing gaskets should be installed between the valve flange and the pipeline flange according to the pipeline design requirements. For ball valves with transmission mechanisms, they should be installed according to the product instruction manual.
