(2) Injection molding of low molecular weight PVDF has high melt flow rate and can be processed by injection molding method, generally using a universal injection molding machine, but the barrel, plunger, nozzle, etc. must be made of corrosion-resistant Ni-based alloy.
(3) Casting casting molding is to configure PVDF into a solution with a solid content of 20% with dimethyl as the solvent, flow on aluminum foil, and after hot melt at 205~315 degrees Celsius, cool with water to produce a continuous strong and tough film with a thickness of 0.05~0.075mm.
(4) Compression molding generally preheats the PVDF pellets in an oven or preheater, preheating temperature is 215~235 degrees Celsius, then adds the preheated material to the preheated mold at 180~195 degrees Celsius, pressurizes at 14MPa, and holds pressure, the holding time depends on the time required for melting and flowing. Thick-walled products must be held pressure-cooled to below 90 degrees Celsius before demolding to avoid vacuum bubbles or deformation.
(5) Transfer molding generally uses extruder for plasticizing, then transfers the material to the material storage cylinder and injects the material in the storage cylinder into the mold through a plunger pump and holds pressure for cooling. Whether it is compression molding or transfer molding, it is mainly used to produce products with a large volume and thick walls.
(5) Other processing methods Processing PVDF can also use impregnation, co-extrusion, and other processing technologies.
