Installation position, height, inlet and outlet direction must meet the design requirements, and the connection should be firm and tight. All kinds of manual valves installed on insulated pipelines must not have the handle downwards. Before installing the valve, a visual inspection must be conducted, and the nameplate of the valve should comply with the current national standard "General Valve Marking" GB 12220. For valves with a working pressure greater than 1.0 MPa and acting as shut-off valves on main pipelines, strength and tightness performance tests should be conducted before installation, and can only be used after passing the test. During the strength test, the test pressure is 1.5 times the nominal pressure, and the duration is not less than 5 minutes. The valve body and filler should not leak to pass. During the tightness test, the test pressure is 1.1 times the nominal pressure; the test pressure and duration should meet the requirements of GB 50243 standard, with no leakage on the valve disc sealing surface as qualified. Seal gaskets should be installed between the valve flange and the pipeline flange as required by the pipeline design. Ball valves with transmission mechanisms should be installed according to the product manual.
