Taiyuan solid sheets (also known as PC sheets, polycarbonate, solid sheets, bulletproof glass, cabron sheets, plastic solid sheets, polycarbonate sheets) are made from high-performance engineering plastics, polycarbonate or polycarbonate ester. Characteristics: impact-resistant, unbreakable strength exceeds that of reinforced glass and acrylic sheets by hundreds of times, tough and safe, with good anti-theft and bulletproof effects. Advantages:
(1) Light transmission: Solid sheets can achieve a light transmittance of up to 89%, comparable to glass. UV-coated sheets will not yellow, fog, or reduce light transmission under sunlight, with only a 10% loss in light transmission after ten years, while PVC loss rates can reach 15%-20%, and fiberglass is 12%-20%.
(2) Impact resistance: The impact strength is 250-300 times that of ordinary glass, 30 times that of acrylic sheets of the same thickness, and 2-20 times that of tempered glass. It shows no cracks when dropped from 2 meters with a hammer weighing less than 3 kg, earning the titles of "shatterproof glass" and "ringing steel".
(3) UV protection: One side of the PC sheet is co-extruded with an anti-UV (ultraviolet) coating, and the other side has anti-condensation treatment, combining UV resistance, thermal insulation, and anti-fogging functions. It can block ultraviolet rays and is suitable for protecting valuable artworks and exhibits from UV damage.
(4) Lightweight: Its specific gravity is only half that of glass, saving costs in transportation, handling, installation, and supporting frames.
