Wear Resistance UHMWPE has the highest wear resistance among plastics and surpasses certain metals. The abrasion index of UHMWPE is only 1/5 of that of PA66, and 1/10 of that of HDPE and PVC; compared to metals, it is 1/7 of carbon steel and 1/27 of brass. 2. Impact Resistance The impact strength of UHMWPE is about 2 times that of impact-resistant PC, 5 times that of ABS, and over 10 times that of POM and PBTP. 3. Self-Lubrication UHMWPE has an extremely low coefficient of friction (0.05~0.11), exhibiting excellent self-lubrication. Under conditions without lubricants, it ranks just behind PTFE in self-lubrication; it outperforms steel and brass with added lubricants. 4. Chemical Resistance UHMWPE has excellent chemical resistance, resistant to corrosive media (acids, bases, salts) and organic media (except naphthalene solvents) within certain temperature and concentration ranges, except for strong fluorinated acid solutions. 5. Impact Energy Absorption UHMWPE exhibits excellent impact energy absorption, with high energy absorption values among all plastics, resulting in good noise damping and sound insulation effects. 6. Non-Stick Properties UHMWPE has very weak surface adhesion, with its anti-adhesion capability only second to that of PTFE, making it difficult for its surface to adhere to other materials. 7. Water Resistance UHMWPE has a very low water absorption rate, generally less than 0.01%, only 1% of that of PA6. 8. Hygienic and Non-Toxic: UHMW-PE is odorless, non-toxic, and non-corrosive, possessing physiological inertness and compatibility. It is approved by the FDA and USDA for use in applications involving food and medicine. 9. When the molecular weight of polyethylene exceeds 1.5 million, the embrittlement temperature drops to -140°C. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene can still maintain certain mechanical strength at temperatures below -269°C under the influence of liquid nitrogen. 10. Water Resistance UHMWPE has a very low water absorption rate, generally less than 0.01%, only 1% of that of PA6, nearly non-absorbent, and does not deform or deteriorate in water. 11.
