Characteristics and Applications of Thermal Insulation Sleeves
Weather-resistant, pollution-resistant, extending equipment lifespan
Under natural conditions, the service life can reach several decades, providing maximum protection for pipes, cables, and equipment in these environments, significantly extending their lifespan.
Ozone-resistant, voltage-resistant, arc-resistant, and corona-resistant properties
Due to the surface coated with silicone, which has a main chain of –Si–O–, it is not easily decomposed by ultraviolet light and ozone. The high-temperature protective sleeve has excellent electrical insulation properties, with dielectric loss, voltage resistance, arc resistance, corona resistance, volume resistivity, and surface resistivity ranking among the best in insulating materials, and their electrical performance is minimally affected by temperature and frequency. Therefore, they are a stable electrical insulating material widely used in the electronics and electrical industries.
Excellent high-temperature resistance
The high-temperature protective sleeve can withstand continuous exposure to260℃ without damage, and can endure temperatures up to1090℃ for15 to 20 minutes, and can withstand temperatures up to1650℃ for15 to 30 seconds. Its unique flame retardant properties not only effectively prevent personnel from burns caused by high-temperature pipelines but also significantly reduce the cost of thermal energy loss.
Unique chemical stability
The high-temperature protective sleeve has strong chemical stability and does not react with oil, water, acids, or bases. It can be used long-term without aging within260℃, and due to the surface coated with silicone, it is not easily decomposed by ultraviolet light and ozone.
Splash protection with multiple safeguards
In the smelting industry, the medium temperature in electric furnaces is extremely high, which easily leads to high-temperature splashes (the same applies to the electric welding industry). After cooling and solidifying, the slag forms on pipes or cables, causing the rubber on the outer layer of the pipes or cables to harden and eventually become brittle and crack. This can damage unprotected equipment and cables. The high-temperature sleeve coated with multiple layers of silicone can achieve multiple safety protections, with high temperature resistance reaching up to1300 degrees Celsius, effectively blocking splashes of molten iron, molten copper, molten aluminum, and other high-temperature molten materials, preventing damage to surrounding cables and equipment.
Safe and environmentally friendly
Alkali-free glass fiber itself has strong tensile strength, is resistant to folding and breaking, sulfur-resistant, non-smoke, halogen-free, non-toxic, pure oxygen non-flammable, and has good insulation properties. After being cured with silicone, its safety and environmental protection performance is further enhanced, effectively protecting workers' health and reducing the incidence of occupational diseases. Unlike asbestos products, which pose significant hazards to human health and the environment.
