Laboratory furniture and laboratory fume hood are important equipment in the laboratory. They should not only have excellent functionality, meet industry standards, but also have a beautiful appearance and harmonious colors, environmentally friendly and energy-saving, to improve indoor environment. Laboratory furniture is different from office furniture. It is often in contact with water, electricity, gas, chemicals, and instruments and equipment, so higher requirements are placed on the structure and material of furniture. When building a laboratory, furniture design and selection must be based on the work content, environmental conditions, and specific requirements of the laboratory.
I. Classification of laboratory furniture:
1. Classified by function into experimental tables and experimental cabinets
(1) Experimental tables include side tables, central tables, instrument tables, balance tables, washing tables, high-temperature tables, dissection tables, sampling tables, stainless steel tables, etc.;
(2) Experimental cabinets include fume hoods, medicine cabinets, vessel cabinets, gas cylinder cabinets, acid-base storage cabinets, specimen cabinets, sample cabinets, file cabinets, etc.;
2. Classified by material into steel-wood structure, all-wood structure, all-steel structure.
(1) Steel-wood structure: composed of metal frame and wooden cabinet, can be equipped with movable cabinets and fixed cabinets, cost-effective, but with a single style, suitable for customers pursuing economic benefits.
(2) All-wood structure: all cabinets are made of engineered wood panels (MDF), rich in colors, but not resistant to moisture, slightly poor in load-bearing capacity, not suitable for damp and high load-bearing laboratories, not recommended for use.
(3) All-steel structure: made of 1.0mm thick cold-rolled steel sheet cut, bent, welded, all cold-rolled steel sheet surface is phosphated and sprayed with epoxy resin, then baked at high temperature. Good load-bearing performance, sturdy and durable.
3. Classified by structure into fixed laboratory table, suspended laboratory table, and split laboratory table
(1) Fixed laboratory table: the cabinet supports the countertop, the cabinet can be made of all-wood structure and all-steel structure, lacks flexibility.
(2) Suspended laboratory table: the cabinet hangs on a metal frame, the cabinet can be made of all-wood structure and all-steel structure, good moisture resistance, slightly stronger flexibility.
(3) Split laboratory table: the cabinet is equipped with movable wheels, the cabinet can be made of all-wood structure and all-steel structure, the metal frame and the countertop are integrated, good moisture resistance, easy to move, good flexibility.
A large amount of toxic and harmful gases will be generated during the experimental operation, which must be exhausted through the ventilation and exhaust system to discharge the toxic and harmful gases outdoors, reduce harm to experimental personnel, and create a comfortable and safe working environment.
