Underneath the outer window sill, there is generally a recessed line designed to prevent rainwater from flowing into the wall. Rainwater will fall off this line, which is known as the drip line. It is applicable in construction projects where there are requirements to block dripping water. Generally, the drip line (or groove) is made at the bottom of the window lintel. If the surface of the concrete is very smooth, it should undergo a "roughening treatment." The drip line is a measure to prevent rainwater from flowing down the wall and entering the balcony or flowing onto the glass. Typically, a groove about 1 cm wide is made at the junction of the bottom surface and the exterior wall, approximately 1-2 cm from the corner. This way, the water is diverted and will not flow inward. It is suitable for construction projects in areas that require blocking dripping water, such as protruding exterior window sills, window heads, including window tops that do not protrude, awnings, balconies, parapet caps, and protruding waistlines on exterior walls. All these areas should have a drip line (or a drip groove can also be made).
