Detailed Introduction of High Molecular Polyethylene Sheets:
UHMW-PE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) in wear-resistant sheets is a thermoplastic engineering plastic with a molecular weight exceeding 2.5 million. Commonly referred to as UPE. Characteristics: Excellent impact resistance (the top in plastics), good corrosion resistance, excellent chemical resistance, lower density than other thermoplastics, low friction coefficient, superior release properties, extremely low water absorption, excellent electrical insulation and antistatic properties, moderate mechanical strength, rigid creep resistance, excellent machinability, continuous naturalness, and good resistance to high-energy radiation. As a new type of engineering plastic, it combines multiple excellent properties: 1. Wear resistance is the highest among plastics, 4 times better than Nylon 66 and 6 times better than carbon steel; 2. Impact strength ranks first among plastics, 2 times that of PC, 5 times that of ABS, and retains high toughness at liquid nitrogen temperatures (–196℃); 3. Self-lubricating properties comparable to PTFE, with high impact energy absorption and excellent sound dampening; 4. High chemical stability, able to withstand various corrosive media and organic solvents within certain temperature and concentration ranges. 5. Extremely strong anti-adhesion ability, second only to PTFE; 6. Completely sanitary and non-toxic, suitable for contact with food and pharmaceuticals; 7. Density is lower than all engineering plastics, 56% lighter than PTFE. 4. Extremely low water absorption. Therefore, its physical and mechanical properties are independent of the humidity factors in the working conditions used.
5. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene sheets are chemically stable, able to withstand acids, bases, salts, and various corrosive media and organic solvents within certain temperature and concentration ranges.
