Brief description:The co-rotating twin-screw industrial extruder consists of several parts including the drive unit, feeding device, barrel, and screws. The functions of these components are similar to those of a single-screw extruder, as shown in Figure 1. The difference from a single-screw extruder is that the twin-screw extruder has two parallel screws placed within a barrel with an "∞" shaped cross-section.
1. The oil lubrication system is interlocked with the main unit, meaning that the main unit can only be started after the oil pump has been activated.
2. The feeding system is interlocked with the main unit, meaning that the feeder can only be started after the main unit has been started.
3. The pressure system is interlocked with the main unit, meaning that in case of overpressure, both the main unit and the feeding system will stop working.
4. The current is interlocked with the main unit, meaning that in case of overcurrent, both the main unit and the feeding system will stop working.
1) No metal objects should be allowed to enter the hopper to avoid damaging the screw.
Before starting the machine, the screw must be turned to rotate for more than one full revolution.
3) Normal operation, the host running at low speed without load should not exceed 2 minutes.
4) No one should stand in front of the machine head when starting, to prevent injury from material ejection.
5) Set the process conditions according to the operation records without exceeding the speed limit;
6) During cleaning, avoid letting water or oil enter the electrical control cabinet, and do not pull or touch any wire connections to prevent loosening and moisture.
7) Regularly check all lubrication points, including forced oiling and pressure lubrication with oil cups;
8) Pay attention to the changes in the soft water quality, and if it turns black, it should be replaced promptly.
9) When straightening the material strips, use your hand or a plastic strip, not a metal one;
10) Do not touch any of the rotating parts of the equipment.
Daily Maintenance
No foreign objects are allowed in the material, and it is strictly prohibited for hard substances such as metal and sand to enter the hopper and extruder.
2. When opening the barrel cover or the vacuum cover, be cautious to prevent foreign objects from falling into the main unit.
3. There should be sufficient preheating and warm-up time, and the manual turning of the machine before starting should be smooth. Generally, after reaching the set process temperature, it should be maintained at a constant temperature for 2 hours.
4. The screw is only allowed to start at low speed, and the idle running time should not exceed 3 minutes.
5. After the new machine has been run-in, all gearboxes should be completely refilled with new oil. The lubricating oil should then be replaced again after 3000 hours of operation. Thereafter, the oil quality should be checked during necessary maintenance, and the oil should be replaced if necessary.
6. Check the wear of the barrel and screw, as well as the gearbox, bearings, and oil seals annually.
7. When the main motor is a DC motor, check the motor brushes monthly and keep records, replacing them as necessary.
8. When the machine is idle for a long time, anti-rust and anti-contamination measures should be taken.
9. Daily inspection items: lubrication and oil level conditions of all lubricated parts, temperature rise and noise of all rotating component bearings, vibration of the unit; current and voltage display of the electric motor; temperature, pressure display of lubricating oil and cooling water, and leakage conditions of their pipelines.
