Iranian Al-Arak Petrochemical Company was approved in 1984 and officially commenced operations in 1993. It was established to comply with the national policy on the development of the petrochemical industry. To expand its capacity, the company implemented two expansion plans in 2005 and 2007 respectively. Currently, the annual production capacity has reached 1.469 million tons. The products not only meet domestic demand but are also exported to foreign markets.
