About Us
Safripol is an independent plastic manufacturing company that provides polypropylene and high-density polyethylene to the processing industry for the manufacture of various packaging and industrial end-use applications. The majority of our employees are located at our manufacturing plant in Sasolburg, while our headquarters are based in Bryanston with a commercial and technical team, and we have a sales office in Durban. Safripol was founded in 1972 as a joint venture between Hoechst AG of Germany and Sentrachem Ltd. In 1997, the company was acquired by Dow Chemical Company. By the end of 2006, Dow had changed its strategic focus in emerging markets, and the company was sold to an South African consortium led by ABSA Capital. Since January 2, 2017, Safripol has been part of the KAP Group, now trading as: Safripol is a division of KAP Diversified Industrial (Pty) Ltd.
