In this rapidly evolving era, many people outside the industry may not fully understand the advantages and disadvantages of different types of pipes. Different pipes have different uses; only the right fit can achieve the desired results. 1. The difference between aluminum alloy plastic-lined composite pipes and traditional metal pipes: Aluminum alloy plastic-lined composite pipes are lightweight rigid pipes due to their outer layer of aluminum alloy and inner lining of PPR plastic. The aluminum alloy outer layer maintains the supportive function of the pipe while significantly reducing the pressure caused by the weight of the pipe itself, thanks to the application of aluminum alloy and the food-grade PPR plastic lining. This ensures that the pipe combines the rigidity of metal pipes with the seismic resistance of flexible fittings. In other words, aluminum alloy plastic-lined composite pipes are lighter than traditional metal pipes, and by eliminating the traditional snap-fit connection method used in metal pipes, they ensure stability under slight movements. Traditional metal pipes, however, are heavy, resulting in higher construction costs. The traditional snap-fit connection is also rigid, which can pose safety risks in the event of minor earthquakes, potentially leading to pipe fractures. Furthermore, since traditional metal pipes are in direct contact with water, which contains a large number of ions, they are prone to corrosion over time. This not only reduces the quality and lifespan of the pipe's pressure-bearing capabilities but also poses health risks concerning the sanitation level of drinking water. 2. The difference between aluminum alloy plastic-lined composite pipes and traditional pure plastic pipes: Aluminum alloy plastic-lined composite pipes are lightweight rigid pipes; thus, strictly speaking, they belong to the category of metal pipes. The main difference from traditional pure plastic pipes is that aluminum alloy plastic-lined composite pipes offer rigid support while having a far superior pressure-bearing capacity compared to pure plastic pipes. 3. The difference between aluminum alloy plastic-lined composite pipes and traditional composite pipes: Traditional composite pipes mainly consist of steel-lined plastic pipes. Although these pipes have a food-grade plastic lining that effectively extends the lifespan and sanitary grade of the metal pipes, the inherent weight of steel-lined plastic pipes still poses challenges. As a result, the connection method typically remains the traditional snap-fit, which introduces certain risks in terms of construction costs and safety. Additionally, there is a type called aluminum-plastic composite pipes (stable pipes). This type features a three-layer structure: the outer layer is plastic, the middle layer is aluminum, and the inner layer is plastic. These pipes offer significant improvements in insulation compared to pure metal or pure plastic pipes, and their pressure-bearing capacity is much higher than that of ordinary pure plastic pipes. However, aluminum-plastic composite pipes generally have small diameters and cannot be used as main or branch pipes in construction due to their limited load-bearing capacity. While their pressure-bearing capacity is relatively high compared to pure plastic pipes, it still falls short of that of metal pipes. In contrast, aluminum alloy plastic-lined composite pipes have an industry-standard pressure-bearing capacity of up to PN2.5 MPa, making them fully capable of meeting the challenges posed by various locations in different buildings.
