Since its globalization policy, Toray has developed into a powerful multinational organization since the 1970s, conducting diversified business operations globally, including in Malaysia. Toray Group (Malaysia) operates eight manufacturing plants in the Strategic Industrial Park of Penang and one joint venture project in Kuantan, Pahang, making it one of Toray's main investments outside of Japan.
