Performance Introduction of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Wear Blocks:
1. High Wear Resistance: Among all engineering plastics, UHMW-PE exhibits outstanding wear resistance. The higher the molecular weight, the more wear-resistant the material, even surpassing many metal materials (such as carbon steel, stainless steel, bronze, etc.). According to ASTM testing (load 4.6 kg/cm2), the heat distortion temperature is 85°C, with a usable temperature reaching 90°C, and under special circumstances, it can be used at even higher temperatures. UHMW-PE is a highly tough material with excellent low-temperature resistance, maintaining a certain degree of ductility at -269°C without signs of brittle fracture. 6. Electrical Properties: It has high volume resistivity, with a breakdown voltage of up to 50KV/mm, and a dielectric constant of 2.3. It is suitable as a structural material in electrical engineering over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies.
