Zhuhai Jinfang Biological has added a PLA/PBAT modification production line and a pilot test line.
On March 24, the Zhuhai Ecological Environment Bureau announced that it intends to make an approval decision regarding the environmental impact assessment document for the polyester E-line modification production line and pilot workshop project of Zhuhai Jinfah Biological Materials Co., Ltd.
The total investment for this project is 10.43 million yuan, and it is an expansion project.
The newly added polyester E-line modification production line is mainly intended to help the construction unit reduce the material transportation in the existing polyester resin modification production. Specifically, it utilizes the material after the polyester synthesis process and before the pelletizing process for further modification, allowing this raw material to undergo modification without requiring reheating again. This aims to save gas energy, reduce material turnover, enhance modification efficiency, and lower the cost of the final modified product. The annual production capacity is 10,000 tons of PBAT modified resin and 2,000 tons of PLA modified resin.
The newly added pilot workshop will mainly focus on product development and innovation to advance the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) materials industry with independent intellectual property rights. Specifically, it will produce PBAT resin through pilot-scale polymerization experiments with an annual output of 20 tons; conduct pilot-scale blow-molding experiments to produce PBAT blown film products with an annual output of 1,000 tons; and operate two pilot-scale modification experiment lines, one for PBAT modified resin at 1,000 tons per annum (TPA) and the other for PLA modified resin at 1,000 TPA.
