Vodafone IoT and Hyundai Motor Group Partner to Support Operations in Five Middle East Countries

The Hyundai Motor Group (with brands including Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis) has partnered with Vodafone IoT to provide in-car connectivity services that comply with local regulations in the Middle East, specifically in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE. By collaborating with Vodafone IoT’s network partners in the region (such as e& of Emirates Telecommunication Group), the Hyundai Motor Group will gain reliable, secure, and compliant in-car connectivity.
Vodafone IoT provides Hyundai Motor Group with seamless in-vehicle connectivity through its Global SIM+ solution. This solution dynamically switches globally deployed IoT SIM cards over-the-air to local SIM profiles, enabling local network authentication, data routing, compliance with local regulations, and seamless cross-border connectivity. It helps automakers efficiently launch services in countries with local network requirements and achieve unified global connectivity.
Vodafone IoT's collaboration with local network operators such as e& of the UAE Telecommunications Group has been further strengthened, ensuring compliance, network and connection reliability. By working together, local network operators provide extensive coverage, advanced IoT technologies, and deep local expertise, thereby enhancing the quality and stability of connected services for the Hyundai Motor Group in the Middle East.
Vodafone IoT's advanced managed connectivity platform can be directly integrated with local partner networks, allowing automakers to manage their global IoT assets through a single platform, achieving true global coverage and centralized operations management.
With these features, modern, kia, and Genesis users in the Middle East will enjoy a richer connected experience, including but not limited to remote vehicle control, real-time status monitoring, in-vehicle entertainment, and convenient over-the-air updates. This collaboration aims to provide a seamless and intuitive digital experience, allowing drivers to manage their vehicles and ensure their safety anytime, anywhere.
Vodafone IoT and Hyundai Motor Group plan to expand their connected car collaboration to more countries in the Middle East and Africa in the near future.
