Vivo's first MR headset, Vision, debuts, focusing on real-time spatial computing and robotics technology.
Vivo has debuted its mixed reality(MR)head display technology, called Vision, at the Asiasoft forum in Bohai. The device has a similar design style to the Apple Vision Pro and has a detachable battery. According to the specification, a prototype of the device is planned to be released in the middle of 2025.
Vivo stated that the Vision headset is an important part of its strategy to enhance "real-time spatial computing capabilities," aimed at addressing the demands of future consumer-level robotic applications. To this end, Vivo has established a new robotics laboratory in China, focusing on developing the "brain" and "eyes" of robots, combining AI large model learning with imaging technology to drive innovation.
Vivo has stated that the prototype of the Vision headset will officially debut in mid-2025. Additionally, detailed information about this device is still relatively limited. It is understood that this MR headset is part of Vivo's strategy to enhance its "real-time spatial computing capabilities to cope with future consumer-grade robotic applications." Meanwhile, Vivo announced the establishment of a new robotics laboratory in China, planning to leverage this lab to create the "brain" and "eyes" of robots, and to promote related research and development utilizing its expertise in "AI large model learning and imaging."
vivo recently announced that it will launch the X200 Ultra phone in April. At that time, vivo is expected to reveal more information about the vivo Vision headset, so let's look forward to it.
