US ITC Officially Launches Section 337 Investigation into Child Car Seats
On August 25, 2025, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to initiate a Section 337 investigation into Certain Child Car Seats (Investigation No. 337-TA-1459).
On July 24, 2025, Wonderland Switzerland AG of Switzerland, Iron Mountains, LLC of Morgantown, Pennsylvania (USA), Nuna International B.V. of the Netherlands, Nuna Baby Essentials, Inc. of Morgantown, Pennsylvania (USA), Joie International Co., Ltd. of Hong Kong SAR (China), Joie Children’s Products, Inc. of Morgantown, Pennsylvania (USA), and Graco Children’s Products Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia (USA) filed a Section 337 investigation complaint with the U.S. ITC, alleging that the products exported to, imported into, and sold in the U.S. violated Section 337 of the U.S. Tariff Act (infringing U.S. Patent Nos. 7,625,043 and 10,457,168). They requested the U.S. ITC to issue a limited exclusion order and a cease and desist order.
The listed respondents are Dorel Juvenile Group, Inc. of Foxboro, MA, USA; Dorel Industries Inc. of Canada; Guangdong Roadmate Group Co., Ltd. of China; Roadmate Trading (Hong Kong) Limited of Hong Kong SAR, China; and Zhongshan Roadmate Juvenile Products Co., Ltd. of Zhongshan, Guangdong, China.
The United States International Trade Commission shall determine the completion date of the investigation within 45 days after the case is filed. Except in cases where the United States Trade Representative vetoes for policy reasons, the relief orders issued by the United States International Trade Commission in Section 337 cases take effect from the date of issuance and become final on the 60th day after issuance.
