On February 26, Lingwu City successfully signed a project with Shanxi Jinyuan Biomass Technology Co., Ltd. for the annual production of 300,000 tons of green methanol, with an investment of about 10 billion yuan. It is understood that both parties will cooperate more broadly on projects such as black corn cultivation, anthocyanin purification, resource utilization of manure, source-grid-load-storage and new energy power generation projects, and biomass to methanol. Yao Junliang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shanxi Meijin Energy Group Co., Ltd., Pan Xin, Assistant to the Chairman of Shanxi Meijin Group, and relevant leaders of Lingwu City witnessed the signing.

According to Qichacha, Shanxi Jinyuan Biomass Technology Co., Ltd. was established in November 2024, with Li Hao as its legal representative and a registered capital of 10 million yuan. The business scope includes biomass fuel processing, research and development of biomass liquid fuel production processes, etc.
Shareholder information shows that Shanxi Jinyuan Biomass Technology Co., Ltd. is 100% held by Meijin Guxian Coal Industry Co., Ltd.

According to reports, at the beginning of this year, Shanxi Meijin Energy Group held talks with the Yinchuan Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government, reaching a preliminary agreement on the annual production of 300,000 tons of green methanol project. To promote the project's swift signing and implementation, Lingwu City quickly formed a project working group, established a twice-weekly meeting mechanism, and set up a resource information sharing platform to achieve real-time alignment with corporate needs and efficient information sharing. From the initial negotiation to the final signing, it took less than one month.
