Tesla Cybertruck Delivery Delayed to April 2027

New Energy Vehicle Network 2026-03-03 09:28:11

Tesla has already increased the official price of the Cybertruck All-Wheel-Drive version from $59,900 to $72,235 (including destination fees) on March 1, 2026. This price adjustment was previously confirmed by CEO Elon Musk via social media on February 21, clearly stating that the limited-time offer starting at $59,900 would only last for 10 days, valid until February 28. As of March 3, 2026, the Tesla website shows that the estimated delivery time for new orders has been updated to April 2027.

This price adjustment is the second delivery schedule change implemented by Tesla after the release of the Cybertruck all-wheel-drive version on February 21. The version was initially announced to be delivered in June 2026, then postponed to fall 2026 on February 24, and finally set for April 2027 in early March. The official website's design configurator page has been updated with the delivery time, noting that the current order delivery window has moved into 2027.

The all-wheel-drive (AWD) Cybertruck, launched with standard dual motors, extended range, enhanced towing capacity, and multiple active safety features, starts at $59,990—offering superior standard specifications compared to the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) version, which was briefly sold in 2025 but discontinued just months after launch due to insufficient market demand. Tesla has also recently added Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to its official online product configuration page, indicating that this feature will be rolled out via over-the-air software updates to all delivered and newly delivered vehicles, requiring no hardware upgrades.

According to Tesla's official website, as of March 3, customers placing an order on that day would still face an earliest delivery date of April 2027. This delivery timeline contrasts sharply with Cybertruck’s actual full-year 2025 deliveries of just over 20,000 units. Public data shows that Cybertruck deliveries declined from approximately 39,000 units in 2024 to 2025, far below the company's original annual production target of 250,000 units.

Tesla has not released official data on the number of orders for this version between February 21 and 28. The company has disbanded its dedicated communications department since 2020 and currently does not have a mechanism for external media contact. Tesla has not provided further clarification on whether the price adjustments and delivery delays reflect a surge in demand or capacity constraints. The $59,990 price tag has been removed from the online configurator page, and the current page now shows the lowest starting price as $72,235.
