Shenma Nylon Chemical Company Puts Into Operation 80,000-Ton-Per-Year Adipic Acid Drying Unit
According to a March 2026 announcement by Pingmei Shenma Group, Nylon Chemical Company’s newly built 80,000-ton-per-year adipic acid drying unit successfully passed the 72-hour continuous full-load performance test.
During the testing period, the new equipment operated smoothly, with precise and controllable process parameters, and the product quality consistently met standards. Notably, the energy consumption was about 10% lower than the design value, marking the equipment's stable and efficient production capacity. It has officially entered a one-year trial production phase.
The new facility employs an advanced dual-effect cyclone dust removal system and a three-zone circulating packed scrubber, significantly enhancing its capability to capture particulate matter. Currently, the exhaust gas emission level of this facility is stably maintained below 10 mg/m³, far exceeding national emission standards. Additionally, the facility has upgraded its automatic fire alarm and sprinkler interlock system, enabling early intelligent fire detection and precise response.
The nylon chemical adipic acid drying capacity expansion project involves the renovation of the existing 2# adipic acid production process. Building an 80,000-ton drying facility and supporting engineering on the basis of the original plant, using advanced domestic fluidized bed drying technology to produce high-quality adipic acid powder products, thereby improving the utilization rate of the existing adipic acid production facility.
Pingmei Shenhua Nylon Technology Company has a 2.5 million ton per year capacity for adipic acid.
