Seagull Taihu New Town Base Launches With Annual Output of 3,000 Aircraft
On August 13, the Seagull Flying Car Group Headquarters Project officially commenced construction in Taihu New City, Wujiang, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. The project has a total investment of approximately 1 billion RMB and is positioned as a comprehensive industrial base covering the entire chain of research and development, manufacturing, sales, and low-altitude flight operations.

As a key enterprise introduced to Wujiang District, Suzhou in 2024, Seagull Group's global headquarters will focus on cutting-edge technology fields such as flying cars, electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles (eVTOL), flight control and autonomous driving systems, and hydrogen-lithium hybrid energy. The aim is to create a complete industrial ecosystem covering design and development, production and testing, and commercial operations.
The project's core carrier, the "Seagull—Taihu New City Flying Car Industrial Base," will integrate the headquarters building, research and development center, experimental testing center, flight training and experience center, and intelligent production base, forming a closed-loop system from technology incubation to large-scale mass production.
According to the plan, after reaching full production, the project is expected to achieve an annual output of 3,000 aircraft and annual sales of approximately 800 million yuan. At the ceremony, Yan Jun emphasized that the base will focus on producing people-friendly products such as the 212 manned aircraft, aiming to make "flying cars affordable and accessible to ordinary people" a reality, and to promote the transition of low-altitude transportation tools from experimental products to large-scale market applications.
Seagull Group has currently achieved a key breakthrough in technical qualifications, successfully developing multiple low-altitude aircraft and obtaining the "Civil Unmanned Aircraft Special Airworthiness Certificate" issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China. This achievement equips the group with full commercial operation qualifications, laying the foundation for subsequent market implementation.
The Wujiang District Government stated that this project is an important engine for the innovative development of the regional low-altitude economy. Leveraging the area's well-established industrial ecosystem and business environment, Haio Group is expected to accelerate technology transformation and industrial chain integration. Yan Jun specifically mentioned that the policy support and resource allocation provided by Wujiang offer a "fertile soil" for enterprises' technological research and development and achievement transformation. The project not only strengthens the competitiveness of the Yangtze River Delta region in the field of low-altitude transportation equipment manufacturing but also opens new pathways for the application of China's hydrogen-lithium hybrid energy technology in aviation scenarios.
