Robotaxi Deployment Accelerates! Joyson Electronic’s First L3 and L4 Autonomous Driving Domain Controllers to Enter Mass Production
Recently, Joyson Electronic Corporation (600699.SH / 0699.HK), a global provider of intelligent automotive technology solutions, has achieved a major breakthrough in the field of advanced intelligent driving. The company’s first L3-level intelligent driving domain controller is scheduled for mass production and vehicle integration in mid-2027, to be installed in a model from a renowned leading automaker. Meanwhile, Joyson’s L4-level intelligent driving domain controller is set to be deployed on low-speed unmanned logistics vehicles, potentially becoming the first mass-produced L4 intelligent driving domain controller based on a domestic Chinese chip platform.

Joyson Electronic’s first L3- and L4-level intelligent driving domain controllers are about to enter mass production.
With the increasing perfection of regulations in the intelligent driving industry, 2026 may mark the beginning of mass production of L3 autonomous driving. Meanwhile, L4 autonomous driving will achieve a breakthrough from 0 to 1 in scenario-specific applications. In the future, L4-level autonomous driving is expected to experience a breakthrough in smart mobility fields such as passenger transport, freight, operations, and parks/closed roads.
Joyson Electronics stated that the company's intelligent driving domain control series products can not only support L3-level intelligent driving functions but can also be applied to commercial scenarios such as Robotaxis (autonomous taxis) and RoboVans (autonomous logistics vehicles). Especially for the "capillaries" of urban mobility – the last few kilometers of logistics, sanitation, delivery, sightseeing, and patrol services – there is a huge market space brought about by intelligent upgrades.

■ Joyson Electronics develops localized solutions tailored to the market based on major chip platforms.
Leveraging its global layout advantages, Joyson Electronics has developed localized solutions for various markets based on mainstream domestic and international chips. Especially in the domestic market, the company has strategically invested in the intelligent assisted driving chip company NewChip Navigation, and has formed deep collaborations with companies such as Black Sesame Intelligence, Horizon Robotics, and Axera, to develop intelligent driving or central domain control products based on domestically produced chips.

■ Joyson Electronics and SiNian Intelligence Drive Jointly Expand L4 Autonomous Driving Commercial Applications
In the intelligent driving field, Junwei Electronics has built a complete product matrix covering intelligent driving domain controllers and cross-domain fusion central computing units (CCUs), achieving full-scenario coverage from L2 to L4. For higher-level L4 intelligent driving scenarios, Junwei Electronics has partnered with Sinenet to promote the large-scale application of L4. The intelligent port digital management platform based on "V2X + L4 intelligent driving + intelligent cloud scheduling" jointly developed by the two companies has been deployed and is operating stably in Ningbo Port and Xiamen Port.
Currently, Joyson Electronics has achieved multi-faceted breakthroughs in automotive intelligentization businesses, including intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit, and intelligent connectivity. In the third quarter of 2025 alone, the company secured global orders exceeding RMB 20 billion for intelligent driving domain controllers, cross-domain integrated Central Computing Units (CCUs), intelligent connectivity, intelligent driving systems, and multi-display automotive infotainment systems.
