New Hyundai i20 Spy Shots Exposed, Continues to Feature Fuel Power System
Recently, Car Quality Network obtained a set of spy photos of the all-new Hyundai i20 from overseas media. The new car is positioned as a subcompact model, and its design and configuration will undergo significant upgrades to meet current mainstream trends.
From the spy photos revealed this time, the test vehicle is covered with relatively heavy camouflage, indicating that its overall style will undergo significant adjustments and may adopt the latest family design similar to the all-new Hyundai Tucson. In terms of details, the front face is equipped with dual grilles of relatively small size, with a black mesh structure inside the grille. The headlamp assembly features "L"-shaped daytime running lights as well as projector-type high/low beams.
The side of the car features a conventional hatchback design, with sharp window lines indicating that the overall design of the new model will adopt a rational style with pronounced edges. The rear is relatively compact, and although the full shape of the taillights is currently unknown, the visible details suggest a horizontal layout with a small size. In addition, although the bottom is equipped with exposed exhaust pipes, the rear bumper does not have a dedicated opening for them, so the production version is likely to adopt a hidden exhaust layout.
In terms of powertrain, the all-new Hyundai i20 will be equipped with a gasoline engine, supplemented by a 48V mild hybrid system. Previous rumors suggested a pure electric version based on the e-GMP platform, but since its positioning would overlap with the soon-to-be-released Hyundai IONIQ 2 overseas, it is likely to be abandoned. CarQualityNet will continue to follow and report more information about the new model.
