Luoyang Jiuyuan New Materials Phase I High-End Rubber Additives Project Fully Launched and Put into Operation
Recently,Luoyang Petrochemical Company LimitedAnnounce thatOne Million Tons Ethylene Downstream Supporting Integrated Project — JiuyuanThe first phase of the new materials high-end rubber additives project has achieved full process integration, with the MIBK, RT base, and 6PPD units all successfully starting up in one go. The products meet the national standard for premium quality, marking the official entry of the project into full-scale production.
The MIBK put into production this timeThe methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK), RT base (4-aminodiphenylamine), and 6PPD (N-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine) units have been put into operation, with products tested and all meeting the national standard's superior grade. Among them, the annual production capacity of the MIBK unit covers downstream demand, and the scaled production of RT base and 6PPD, as core raw materials for rubber antioxidants, will help stabilize the domestic high-end additive supply chain.
Luoyang Jiuyuan New Materials Co., Ltd. was established in December 2022 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Luoyang Refining & Chemical Company. It is primarily focused on the high-end new materials industry related to petrochemicals. The integrated ethylene supporting rubber new materials project is located in the northern district of Mengjin, Luoyang City, covering a total area of approximately 400 mu.The Jiuyuan New Material Ethylene Supporting Integration Project is being constructed in two phases, with a total investment of 1.6 billion yuan. It focuses on extending, supplementing, and strengthening the chain of downstream products from the Henan Refining & Chemical's million-ton ethylene project. This project utilizes ethylene by-products to produce high-end rubber antioxidants, high-end carbon materials, petroleum resins, and hydrogenated resins, which are applied in emerging industries such as new energy vehicles and construction materials.
Upon the overall completion and commissioning of the project, the annual sales revenue is expected to reach 1.69 billion yuan. This will enable the conversion of liquid by-products from the Henan refining and chemical million-ton ethylene project locally without them leaving the area, thereby opening up broader development prospects for the "large ethylene" industry.
