Lotus Cars Senior Management Shakeup: China President Mao Jingbo Steps Down
DoNews March 5th news, according to China Economic Net, there have been rumors recently that Mao Jingbo is about to step down as the president of Lotus China and will be reassigned to the overseas market. An insider from Lotus Cars confirmed this: "President Mao (Mao Jingbo) has not been in the office for a few days." Also, her social media updates stopped on February 14th.
The report also mentioned that several key positions are undergoing changes. It is understood that Lu Yulin, Vice President of Lotus China, will leave at the end of this month. Jia Xiaohui, CMO of Polestar Technology, has already joined Lotus Sports Cars today.
Public data shows that although global sales of Lotus sports cars increased by 70% year-on-year to 12,100 units in 2024, the Chinese market only contributed 25%, with monthly sales averaging around 250 units.
On December 7, 2024, the round logo, wordmark, and the Chinese trademark "莲花" of LOTUS returned to the hands of the Lotus Group. This means that all markets under the Lotus Group have finally achieved consistency in trademarks—one world, one Lotus. This also implies that the tail badges of all models sold by Lotus in mainland China will subsequently change from "路特斯" to "莲花".
