Jaguar Land Rover to Recall Over 120,000 Vehicles in the United States (US)
According to foreign media reports, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently announced that Jaguar Land Rover will recall over 121,500 vehicles in the United States due to a risk of cracking in the front suspension knuckles.
The recall involves 2014 to 2017 models of the Land Rover Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, and all recalled vehicles may have this defect.

NHTSA states that in the affected vehicles, the front suspension steering knuckle may develop cracks. If the front suspension steering knuckle has cracks, under certain environmental conditions, the cracks may worsen, eventually causing the upper suspension arm to detach. During extreme evasive maneuvers, this could lead to the driver losing control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a collision.
Earlier, in June of this year, the NHTSA received 12 owner reports stating that one or both aluminum front steering knuckles had fractured at the connection with the upper control arm ball joint. Subsequently, the agency launched an investigation into the affected vehicles. Jaguar Land Rover's recall was initiated following this investigation.
NHTSA stated that between September 17, 2015, and July 23, 2025, Jaguar Land Rover received 96 claims and field reports (including vehicle quality complaints) regarding the Range Rover models in the United States; between July 16, 2021, and July 18, 2025, Jaguar Land Rover received 14 claims and field reports (including vehicle quality complaints) regarding the Range Rover Sport models in the U.S. market.
According to the NHTSA, no reports of accidents, injuries, or fires resulting from this defect have been received so far.
The regulatory authority stated that dealers will receive recall notifications on August 19, while the notification date for vehicle owners has not yet been announced. Owners of affected vehicles can go to authorized Jaguar Land Rover dealerships for inspection. Dealers will check the front suspension knuckle; if cracks are found, a fixing bracket will be installed or the knuckle will be replaced free of charge as needed.
Regarding the above report, apart from the information disclosed by the NHTSA, a Jaguar Land Rover spokesperson did not provide further comment on the recall.
