Israel Launches Preemptive Strike Against Iran
February 28th, Israel's defense minister said that Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran. On the same day, an explosion occurred in Tehran, the capital of Iran.

On the 27th, the U.S. Navy’s aircraft carrier USS Ford was reported to have arrived in Israel, meaning the U.S. military now has two aircraft carriers—the Ford and the Lincoln—deployed simultaneously in the Middle East. As of the 27th, the U.S. military has deployed nearly 20 refueling aircraft to Israel. On the same day, the U.S. Department of State updated its travel advisory for Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza, maintaining its Level 3 “Reconsider Travel” warning and authorizing the departure of non-emergency U.S. government personnel and their families from Israel.
Iran and the United States held their third round of indirect talks in Geneva, Switzerland, on the 26th. According to reports, U.S. negotiators explicitly demanded during the talks that Iran dismantle its major nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan and ship all remaining enriched uranium to the United States. Iranian sources stated that Iran rejected transferring its enriched uranium abroad and insisted on retaining its right to the peaceful use of nuclear technology. (CCTV News) @Zhang Peiwen
