Indorama: The Journey of Recycling 150 Billion Plastic Bottles
Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, recently announced that it has recycled more than 150 billion post-consumer PET plastic bottles since February 2011.

Indorama has more than 20 recycling facilities in 11 countries worldwide, some of which operate through partnerships. These plants are capable of recycling or processing 789 bottles per second, converting waste PET into high-quality recycled PET (rPET) resin and other circular materials. These products are widely used across various industries, helping the company and its customers achieve their sustainability goals.
Indorama's achievements are built on its three core pillars of promoting the circular economy: education, collection, and innovation.
In terms of education, through the Waste Hero program, Indorama has promoted plastic recycling knowledge to nearly one million people in schools and communities worldwide, enabling individuals to make informed choices and driving long-term changes in recycling behavior.
In terms of collection, the company collaborates with a network of collection organizations to ensure a stable and high-quality supply of post-consumer PET, supporting the integrity of the circular economy supply chain.
In terms of innovation, Indorama collaborates with technology providers to deploy advanced recycling equipment at the plant level to improve processing efficiency, continuously optimize recycling processes and technologies, and enhance recycling quality and capacity.
