  The National Tariff Commission of Pakistan announced the launch of a second sunset review investigation (Case No. 50/2016/NTC/PVC/SR-II/2025) on suspension-grade polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin imported from China, South Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan. The investigation, prompted by a petition from domestic producer Engro Polymer and Chemicals Limited, covers the period from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2024. The product, classified under HS code 3904.1090, is primarily used in manufacturing pipes, garden hoses, footwear, cables, films, and packaging materials. Existing anti-dumping duties will remain effective during the review, with a final ruling expected within 12 months.
