Concerned about tariff impacts, Mercedes-Benz considers withdrawing entry-level cars from the U.S. market.
Bloomberg reported on April 1 that, according to知情人士消息, Daimler AG is considering pulling entry-level cars out of the US market due to the impact of American auto tariff policies.

Reports suggest that these cars already have relatively low prices and slim profit margins, and if they were to directly bear a 25% tariff, they might incur losses. Recently, the U.S. side announced the imposition of a 25% tariff on all imported cars and certain automotive parts, effective from April 3rd.
According to informed sources, Mercedes-Benz has not yet made a final decision and may still adjust its strategy based on tariff levies. However, the lack of clear guidance from the U.S. government has left company executives frustrated and uncertain about how to respond.
The company spokesperson only stated that Mercedes aims to maximize its sales in the United States, without further comment.
