The project is located within the Nanjing Jiangbei New Materials Science and Technology Park, with a total investment of approximately 9.142 billion yuan. The Luoyang Petrochemical million-ton ethylene project is located in the Advanced Manufacturing Development Zone of Mengjin District, Luoyang City, with a total investment of 27.8 billion RMB, and is planned to be completed and put into operation by December 2025.

The project includes the construction of 13 petrochemical production facilities, such as a 1 million tons/year ethylene plant, a 600,000 tons/year naphtha hydrotreating unit, a 400,000 tons/year aromatics extraction unit, a 300,000 tons/year m-LLDPE unit, a 350,000 tons/year HDPE unit, and a 350,000 tons/year polypropylene unit. In addition, the project will also implement refinery adaptability modifications.

The comprehensive technical renovation and quality upgrade project of Shanghai Petrochemical is implemented by Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited, located within the existing plant area in Jinshan District, Shanghai. The planned investment is approximately 21.307 billion RMB, with funds sourced from the company's own resources. The construction period for the main project is expected to be 3 years, and 5 years for other facilities.

Adjust the structure of existing refining facilities, maintaining an annual refining capacity of 14 million tons, while shutting down 18 sets of old facilities including 700,000 tons/year ethylene, No.2 oxidation, and No.2 polyester.
