Ultra-thin BOPP electronic film, the “chip” of high-end industrial materials

Currently, the new energy and AI computing power industries are continuously evolving towards high energy density and high safety reliability, and film capacitors are upgrading in the direction of high voltage resistance, high temperature resistance, and ultra-thinness. This product is suitable for the DC-Link direct support scenarios of 800V/400V platforms in new energy vehicles, providing smooth filtering, absorbing pulsating currents, and suppressing voltage fluctuations to effectively protect power devices. It is widely used in core components such as OBC onboard chargers, DC/DC converters, and charging piles, ensuring the stable operation of the vehicle's electrical control system.

Multi-specification product matrix covering high-growth emerging markets

High-end BOPP electronic film is a key material that determines the performance of film capacitors, and its application scenarios are continuing to expand into high-growth emerging fields. Sinolong New Materials has established a multi-specification product matrix that, in addition to new energy vehicles, can also meet the application needs of various scenarios such as wind, solar, and energy storage, AI servers, and safety capacitors.

In the field of solar, wind, and energy storage, 3.4μm-5.8μm specification BOPP electronic films are suitable for photovoltaic inverters, wind power converters, and energy storage devices. They can smooth DC voltage, stabilize the bus, absorb high-frequency pulses, achieve ripple suppression and energy buffering, and comprehensively enhance the operational efficiency, reliability, and service life of solar, wind, and energy storage equipment.

With the large-scale construction of AI computing power centers, AI servers have become an important incremental market for film capacitors. The company has launched 2.9 μm–5.8 μm BOPP electronic film designed for HVDC data centers, enabling multiple functions such as high-voltage DC support, high-frequency filtering, noise suppression, and electromagnetic interference protection. It meets the high-power and high-stability power supply requirements of AI servers and provides critical material support for computing infrastructure.

In addition, this series of products can be used with X capacitors and Y capacitors to suppress differential mode electromagnetic interference and control common mode interference, ensuring both the electromagnetic safety of the equipment and the safety of personal electrical use, while meeting the stringent requirements for safety capacitors.

High-end production capacity is steadily coming onstream, while high-barrier products continue to drive incremental growth.

From product mass production and batch delivery to widespread market recognition, Zhonglun New Materials has achieved a rapid breakthrough in the high-end BOPP electronic film sector, thanks primarily to years of technological accumulation and mature industrialization and operational capabilities.

Zhonglun New Materials plans to establish 9 high-end BOPP production lines for its new energy film project. The first production line was put into operation in November 2025; the second production line is currently under construction and is expected to be operational in the second half of 2026, with the remaining production lines also progressing rapidly. As capacity continues to be released, the company's supply capability for high-end electronic films will be significantly enhanced.
