[Price Summary] Market Holds Steady in Consolidation, Recycled PE Continues to See a Wait-and-See Tug-of-War
Today, the mainstream PE market remained stable and consolidated. Taking Shandong and Hebei as references, quotes for major mainstream grades were unchanged from the previous working day: Hebei high-pressure white transparent Grade 1 pellets were quoted at RMB 5,950/ton, Juxian EVA pellets at RMB 5,400/ton, and Shandong Wahaha Grade 1 white pellets at RMB 5,150/ton.
On the cost side, virgin PE prices edged up slightly, but the impact on the recycled market was limited. Supply of recycled materials in the market remained stable, and processors prioritized fulfilling orders from long-standing customers, showing limited willingness to adjust prices. On the demand side, downstream factories maintained only steady, needs-based purchasing, while the overall market continued to be characterized by cautious wait-and-see sentiment.
In the short term, there are no significant changes in the supply and demand fundamentals of recycled PE, and prices are likely to remain stable. Market traders are advised to replenish inventory based on rigid demand and avoid large-scale stockpiling with caution.
