①、 Longzhong Information reported on May 18: Sinopec's caprolactam weekly closing price was 12,500 yuan/ton (six-month acceptance without interest), down 20 yuan/ton from the previous period.

②、 Longzhong Information reported on May 14: Sinopec's refineries in East China, South China, and Central China have lowered the price of pure benzene by 200 yuan/ton, now set at 8,300 yuan/ton, effective May 14.

Downstream purchasing willingness is weak, and the overall market transaction atmosphere is sluggish. Coupled with weak support from the cost side, this has led to a slight downward trend in the prices of some slices. Currently, the price for regular spinning PA6 in East China is 12,100-12,300 yuan/ton cash short delivery, and the spot price for high-speed spinning is 12,900-13,000 yuan/ton with acceptance delivery.

Cost-side prices are temporarily stable and range-bound, providing some support for certain chip prices; downstream buyers in the polymerization sector remain clearly on the sidelines, with weak restocking willingness across the industry, and market transactions are still mostly driven by just-in-time demand. PA6 chips are expected to show a weak trend in the short term.

① Caprolactam ： Today, the East China caprolactam market price was RMB 11,950/ton delivered on acceptance basis, unchanged from the previous working day. Caprolactam producers’ offers remained stable, while downstream buyers’ bids were slightly lower. Market negotiations were temporarily at an impasse. 。

Nylon filament: In the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Fujian region, the market price for nylon POY 85D/24 is 14,500-16,000 yuan/ton, with some offers on the high side. Negotiations are flexible, but cost support is insufficient, and the focus of price discussions is moving downward. Nylon filament as a whole is mainly traded on a negotiated basis, with just-in-time restocking demand, and the industry is operating at very low profit margins.
