Industry Data | China’s Plastic Products Output Reaches 18.773 Million Tons in Q1 2026, Up 3.9% Year-On-Year

According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, the output of plastic products in the first quarter was 18.773 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.9%. In March, the output was 7.148 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%.

Regional Statistics

In the first quarter of 2026, among the 31 provinces and municipalities included in the statistics, the top ten by output were Zhejiang, Guangdong, Hubei, Jiangsu, Shandong, Fujian, Anhui, Hunan, Sichuan, and Hebei. The regions with year-on-year growth of more than 20% were Hebei, Liaoning, Guizhou, Jilin, and Inner Mongolia.

Regional Statistical Situation

From January to March 2026, production in East China reached 9.0032 million tons, accounting for 47.96% of the national total. In terms of year-on-year growth, Northeast China and North China saw significant increases, with Northeast China up 20.15% year on year and North China up 16.25%.
