Delta tecnic recycled masterbatch: Cable and Polyvinyl Chloride PVC Carbon Footprint Reduced by 30%
Formulation developers dedicated to cable sheathing and flexible PVC applications can now evaluate Delta Tecnic’s new range of masterbatch products. This product line is designed to reduce the carbon footprint of cable compounds without compromising technical performance.

Achieve emissions reduction based on life cycle analysis
The formulation optimization primarily focuses on two core directions.
Delta Tecnic pointed out that polymers are the main source of carbon emissions in formulations. Therefore, on the polymer side, companies are gradually replacing virgin raw materials with recycled polymers and bio-based alternative feedstocks. The company stated that such substitution solutions can maintain technical performance while promoting the transition of material models toward a circular economy.
On the pigments side, Delta Tecnic has opened up a new R&D direction focused on developing low-emission alternative pigments, including pigment products made from recycled materials and plant-based raw materials.
The company has developed a black polyethylene masterbatch that meets the technical requirements for cable inner sheaths based on this technical route. At the same time, several product lines have launched PVC masterbatch formulations containing recycled content.
The entire R&D approach is centered on life cycle assessment: Delta Tecnic stated that the company is conducting detailed environmental impact analyses for every raw material it uses, covering the full life cycle from the source of the raw material to its final use.
