Delrin® Unveils Sustainable Product Line at CHINAPLAS 2026
Shanghai, China, April 21, 2026 — On the opening day of CHINAPLAS 2026, the International Plastics and Rubber Exhibition, Delrin®, a global leader in high-performance engineering materials, officially launched its new Delrin® Sustainable Materials Solutions portfolio at Booth C32, Hall 7.2. This portfolio includes the Delrin® RE certified renewable electricity series, the Delrin® CC carbon capture series, and the Delrin® ZA certified zero-carbon-footprint series, offering customers a comprehensive, systematic solution covering diverse decarbonization pathways and cost requirements.
The launch of Delrin® ZA certified as carbon-neutral is the world's first and only polyacetal on the market, marking a significant step in the field of sustainable engineering plastics and demonstrating its long-term commitment to material innovation, low-carbon manufacturing, and value chain emission reduction.

The world's first polyoxymethylene material achieving "zero product carbon footprint"
As the core highlight of this launch, Delrin® ZA is the industry’s first polyoxymethylene (POM) material to achieve zero carbon footprint on a “cradle-to-gate” basis. This product achieves zero carbon footprint through real, verifiable process-based emission reductions—not via any carbon offsets or compensation mechanisms—specifically including:
Ultra-low carbon footprint methanol feedstock
100% renewable electricity
Renewable Steam Energy
ISCC+ certified mass balance system
While achieving significant carbon reduction, Delrin® ZA, certified for zero carbon footprint, is identical to conventional petrochemical-based Delrin® acetal in terms of molecular structure, physical properties, mechanical strength, fatigue and creep performance, processing behavior, and long-term reliability, requiring no redesign or change in processing conditions.
Diversified sustainable paths to meet the needs of different customers
The Delrin® sustainability solutions series adopts a differentiated technology approach, providing businesses with flexible paths to reduce carbon emissions.
Delrin® RA certified renewable:
Based on the ISCC+ certified bio-based mass balance approach, the raw materials come from second-generation biomass such as agricultural waste, which does not compete with food production, supporting customers in reducing Scope 3 emissions.
Delrin® RE Certified Renewable Electricity: Manufactured using 100% certified renewable electricity, it is an ideal choice for customers taking their first step toward low-carbon operations, with minimal cost premium.
Delrin® CC carbon capture: Utilizing methanol converted from CO₂ captured in industrial exhaust gases as raw material, achieving "carbon recycling and reuse," significantly reducing dependence on fossil carbon.
Delrin® ZA certified with zero carbon footprint: It uses methanol with an extremely low carbon footprint as raw material and employs renewable electricity and energy. It is the highest level of carbon reduction in current sustainable solutions, achieving a product with a zero carbon footprint.
Performance is not compromised, and design freedom is not restricted.
All Delrin® Sustainability Solutions products can serve as immediate drop-in replacements for fossil-based products.
The customer will receive the same mechanical properties, quality standards, and processing performance as traditional Delrin® products.
Achieving sustainability while fully inheriting the natural advantages of Delrin® — durability, light weight, low friction, and extra-long service life

Long-term Sustainable Commitment Toward 2030
This new product launch is not merely the introduction of a single item but also a key component of Delrin®’s 2030 emissions reduction strategy. By integrating low-carbon and sustainable attributes at the product level, Delrin® is translating its emissions reductions achieved across energy, raw materials, and manufacturing processes into material solutions that directly help customers meet their Scope 3 emissions reduction targets.
Welcome industry partners, media, and customers to visit the Delrin® booth C32 in Hall 7.2 to learn more about Delrin®'s latest achievements and future plans in sustainable engineering plastics.
