Chinaplas 2026 | efficient plastic processing technologies and equipment

At this year's Chinaplas (April 21-24, 2026 | Shanghai, China), Kahlert will showcase its efficient plastic processing technologies and professional extrusion equipment at Booth F98 in Hall 2.1. With its extruders, valves, and loss-in-weight feeders (Kahlert KaiChuang), as well as the advanced recycling systems from its subsidiary Herbold Meckesheim, Kahlert provides domestically produced system components and complete solutions for plastic extrusion, modification, and recycling.

At this exhibition, Coperion will showcase two representative products of efficient twin-screw extruders: a ZSK 58 Mc18and a STS 25 Mc11Also on display were the Coperion K-Tron K-ML-SFS-KT20 twin screw feeder, the Coperion K-Tron K-ML-D5-KT35 twin screw feeder paired with a 2415 vacuum loader for replenishment, and the Coperion K-Tron K-ML-D5-KS60 single screw feeder, as well asFrom thesystemC/S-LW-NT38 twin-screw feeder. In addition, a CVH 550 high-pressure rotary valve and a WEK 265 diverter valve will also be displayed—both are highly suitable for pellet handling.

Blending: Achieving High-Performance Reliable Technology

Coperion is a pioneer in the development of closely intermeshing, co-rotating twin-screw extruders. At this Chinaplas, Coperion is showcasing the ZSK 58 Mc.18with 18 Nm/cm³18It will be exhibited together with the Coperion K-Tron high-accuracy twin screw feeder K2-ML-D5-T35, which is equipped with the ActiFlow™ intelligent material vibration fluidizer for gentle material handling.

In addition, the smallest model in the STS extruder series is the STS 25 Mc.11The experimental extruder will also be on display. It features a closed design that minimizes exposed surfaces for easy cleaning and user-friendly operation. Its processing parameters can be reliably scaled to other STS machines, making it an ideal system for formulation development. STS 25 Mc11To be showcased alongside the Coperion K-Tron K-ML-SFS-KT20 twin screw feeder.

STS 96 is now available in the STS Mc PLUS configuration, offering a maximum specific torque (Md/a³) of up to 13.6 Nm/cm³, enabling up to 20% higher productivity across all applications. Additionally, the increased fill level in the processing section and reduced shear stress during compounding further enhance product quality.

In addition to the ZSK and STS series, Coperion also offers the CTE twin-screw extruder specifically designed for the Asian and some other emerging markets.

Plastic Recycling: Flexible Solutions with Excellent Cost-Effectiveness

At the same time, Coperion and Herbold Meckesheim will jointly showcase their extensive expertise in plastic recycling technologies and process solutions. Since the merger, the two companies have continuously engaged in in-depth research and development, optimizing and adjusting their technologies, making the entire production line extremely efficient in operation. At this international plastics and rubber exhibition, Coperion and Herbold Meckesheim will present a simulated recycling production line. Visitors will have the opportunity to see the core components inside the recycling system and witness the detailed process technologies of each processing step and the efficient components.

Furthermore, Coperion will launch its new innovative system for PET recycling at the 2026 CHINAPLAS (China International Plastics & Rubber Exhibition). This standardized solution for producing recycled PET has a processing capacity ranging from 500 kg/h to 10 t/h, ensuring exceptionally high product quality at an outstanding cost-performance ratio. The system features flexible adjustability, enabling applications such as bottle-to-bottle, bottle-to-sheet, bottle-to-fiber, and tray recycling. When combined with a solid-state polymerization (SSP) reactor, the recycled PET produced by this system complies with the requirements of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in direct food-contact applications.

Using Kautex New PET recycling solution, high-quality PET recycled material can be produced with excellent cost-performance.

Feeding and Conveying: Precise Material Feeding, Just Right

Coperion offers a wide range of feeding solutions for the entire industry - from screw conveyors, vibratory feeders, powder pumps, belt scales, liquid feeders to flow meters, and more. All feeding equipment is available in a variety of configurations and can be flexibly combined according to specific applications. At Chinaplas 2026, the focus will be on showcasing single-screw feeders for free-flowing granules and powders, as well as twin-screw feeders for powders and poorly flowing additives.

Also on display is the ActiFlow™ Smart Flow Aid Device. With no moving parts in contact with the material, it effectively prevents bridging of poorly flowing materials in loss-in-weight feeders, ensuring stable and reliable feeding.

The high-precision Coperion K-Tron K-ML-D5-KT35 feeder is equipped with the ActiFlow™ intelligent flow-aid device, enabling gentle material handling and making it ideal for stable, reliable addition of various additives.

Körber also offers a range of mature and reliable vacuum conveying solutions, including the latest generation 2400 series vacuum material feeder. The 2400 series vacuum material feeder efficiently conveys free-flowing dry powder materials, suitable for hopper feeding or refilling loss-in-weight feeders.
